While few pregnancy women navigate with ease, for many, this can be very difficult due to nausea & vomiting. Vomiting, further called as morning sickness, is a normal part of pregnancy, particularly during the first three months (first trimester). Nausea and vomiting may occur early in the morning and decrease as the day progresses. Some women have symptoms at other times of the day. For the most part, the problem resolves after the first trimester, but some may have it longer.

The symptoms can be very unpleasant and can interfere with your daily routine. But one can simply deal with them by simple home remedies & the few lifestyle changes.

How to stop vomiting during pregnancy? In addition to the above precautions and the things you can do to avoid vomiting, here are some remedies that will help you feel better and less tired after vomiting:

1. A Glass Of Lemon Juice:

This is the most proven method and an excellent home remedy. Having a glass of lemon juice can provide immense relief from vomiting during pregnancy.

  • You can sip a lemon juice when you feel nausea or after vomiting.
  • Mix the lemon juice with warm water and a sip.

Do not forget to extract it and not keep it too long as it tends to become bitter and if you consume after long hours you can trigger vomiting.

2. Ginger:

This is another favorite home remedy to stop vomiting.

  • To stop the feeling of vomiting, simply press a slice of ginger.
  • The smell and taste of ginger can help you overcome the sensation of vomiting.
  • You can also opt for ginger or ginger tea. However, do not consume more than 1 to 2 cups of tea as this can lead to acidity.

3. Dried Lime:

Dried lime is known to curb nausea.

  • Get a few slices of lemon and burn them over low heat.
  • Now, dry them under the sun.
  • Then grind these slices of lime into a fine powder.
  • You can either have this raw powder or mix it with water every time you feel like puking.
  • This remedy is also very handy when it comes to curing vomiting and morning sickness during pregnancy.

How to Deal with Vomiting During Pregnancy4. Ajwain Or Carom Seeds:

The strong smell and flavor of starfruit seeds can help you overcome your morning sickness.

Whenever you feel like vomiting, just chew starfruit seeds.

It is believed that starfruit seeds are excellent for better digestion and avoid acidity. Therefore, this will help you overcome the feeling of vomiting as well.

5. Citrus Fruits:

A slice of citrus fruits like orange or sweet lime can be your savior against the sensations of vomiting and vomiting. Even the smell of a citrus can be very comforting.

6. Fennel Seeds:

It is an ideal remedy for vomiting and nausea.

Fennel seeds contain anesthetic constituents that help reduce the sensation of vomiting.

Crush fennel seeds in a blender and add this powder to a cup of boiling water. Cover and let the juice seep in well. Sip this tea slowly and find an instant relief from nausea.

7. Fragrances Like Lemongrass, Lavender, And Thyme:

Odors play a very important role in triggering or braking vomiting during pregnancy.

Always keep a bag of dried herbs or spray lemon, citronella or orange essential oil on your handkerchief and keep it handy, especially when you are traveling.

Any particular sensation that may seem unpleasant can be quickly curbed by sniffing on these and thus help you prevent another episode of vomiting.

Supplements:

There are many supplements that help control the feelings of vomiting, such as vitamin B6 that immediately relieves nausea. Though, these supplements should simply be taken on the recommendation of the doctor.
